Today, Adam and I are celebrating three years of marriage.
The time has flown by, but there is no one else I would rather do life with.
I am excited to see what adventures life throws our way next.

Exterior Update with Vinyl Siding
Today I am sharing with you a recent update we completed on the exterior of our home. When we purchased our house three years ago, we knew the front of the house would eventually need to be repainted and we had planned to replace some of the wood siding. We put it off for quite a while, but it became obvious this Spring that the time had come to give the exterior a little update.
We decided to cover the wood with vinyl siding to update the house and avoid repainting in a few years. Since the back and sides of the house already had aluminum siding, we decided to keep them and only side the front of the house.
Next, J channels were placed to outline the sides, doors, and windows.
Once the J channels were in place, Starter strips were used at the garage area and placed at the very bottom of siding. Then, we were able to begin the siding nailing in the siding every 4-5 inches.
Where the siding meets the gutters, we used finishing strips to finish it off and a snap lock punch too was used to create lugs (see image below)
Finally, we oohed and ahhed the results with drinks in hand.

The Creative Corner: August 16th
Happy Sunday!
It's been a lazy day over in our neck of the woods, with the hot hot heat keeping us indoors today. I hope you had an amazing weekend, and wishing you a great week ahead.
My husband and I took a couple days off at the end of the week, so I have a three day week that I am hoping flies by.
Who's ready to party tonight? I can't wait to check out some amazing new projects while tuning in to another week of Bachelor in Paradise.

Virginia from Fynes Designs shared her Farmhouse Mudroom Makeover last week, and I love the colors and decor that was chosen for this room. It's amazing what a little paint and cleaning can do, and this makeover is proof of that.

Burlap Bubble Wreath
I have always loved burlap bubble wreaths, but have always been scared to make one. I have always thought they would be too complicated, but as it turns out they are one of the simplest wreaths I've made. I followed this tutorial over at Craftaholics Anonymous, painted the monogram "Baby Pink" and then added the bow and monogram to the top of the wreath.
I love how the wreath looks on our new blue door, and it was about time to take down the Fourth of July wreath. Yep, huge slacker over here!
Also, that last picture shows a sneak peek of our new front siding we DIYed.
I'm hoping to share more of the details next week!
