A Pastel Easter Vignette

Let me just start by asking, can you believe Easter is only a week away?!
I am not usually one for Easter decorations. I usually set out two bunnies and call it good, but this year I had a ton of fun getting just a little more into it.

Here's the vignette I designed for the buffet in our living room this year. If you've been around a while, you know I have been slowly neutralizing my home decor with little bits of color here and there. This vignette was no different, with my white bunnies, with a little bright green for spring and some pastel eggs.

How did you decorate your home for Easter this year?

Black & Red Valentine's Decor

My Valentin's decor this year was inspired by some table runners I came across in Target's Dollar Spot around Christmas time, a black striped one and one with red hearts. I bought them without knowing really what I would do with them. Then I came across these pillow covers and it was settled. With the table runners and the pillow covers, I was able to find some other decor from previous years, and came up with this black, white, and red theme.

Source List:
Hearts table runner: Target
Wicker tray: Meijer
Lantern: Goodwill
LOVE pillow covers: Amazon
Black striped table runner: Target
"Welcome to our happily ever after" printable: View from the Fridge
Heart dish: Target
White jar: Michaels
Red Plate: Target

Projects:
Wood Plank Coffee Table
White & Whimsical Chalk Paint Buffet
Burlap Valentine's Day Wreath

I really like the way these simple, understated decorations turned out.
How do you decorate for Valentine's Day?

Happy Tuesday!

Christmas Home Tour 2015: Part 2

As promised, I am back today to share part two of my Christmas Home Tour! If you missed part one, you can check it out here, and I highly recommend you do.

Every year, I love to make sure each room has a little bit of Christmas, and this year was no exception. While the main areas of the home are full of neutral Christmas decor, I took all my colorful decor and put it throughout the rest of the house.
Links to all DIY projects will be at the end of this post.

Christmas Home Tour 2015: Part 1

Can you believe Christmas is less than a week away?
It most certainly does not feel like Christmas in Michigan due to above average temperatures and below average snow flakes. I'm not trying to let it ruin my spirit though, I've still been jamming to Christmas tunes and having Christmas movie marathons since Black Friday.
I have finally gotten around to sharing my 2015 Christmas Home Tour with you, and I am about as excited as Buddy the Elf when Santa comes to visit Gimbels department store! There was so much to show off, this year will consist of a two part home tour, so stayed tuned for part two in the next few days! And just like last year, links to all DIY projects will be at the end of this post.

This year, I decided to keep things as simple as possible in my neutral living room, and I really love how it turned out! I did incorporate a little red and green here and there, but for the most part I think I succeeded in a very neutral Christmas.

Now lets let the pictures do the talking...

Well, that's all for today, but don't forget to check back this week for Part Two!

Whether you are lucky enough to have snow-covered grounds or you are dreading the day that sparkly white stuff falls from the sky, I sure hope you are enjoying this beautiful holiday season!
