A Pastel Easter Vignette

Let me just start by asking, can you believe Easter is only a week away?!
I am not usually one for Easter decorations. I usually set out two bunnies and call it good, but this year I had a ton of fun getting just a little more into it.

Here's the vignette I designed for the buffet in our living room this year. If you've been around a while, you know I have been slowly neutralizing my home decor with little bits of color here and there. This vignette was no different, with my white bunnies, with a little bright green for spring and some pastel eggs.

How did you decorate your home for Easter this year?

CURRENTLY: April Edition

Happy April!
Easter is right around the corner and so is my dreaded end to maternity leave, but I am still excited for all the fun this month will bring. Today I'm joining the CURRENTLY link up hosted by Anne from In Residence.

ACCOMPLISHING | Getting some blog posts together to share with you all. I'm trying! Seriously, there are so many things I want show you, so I'm just waiting for a good day to photograph!

FEELING | Sad, anxious, nervous. A week from today I have to go back to work, which means my days at home snuggling my sweet boy are numbered. It's back to work and the start of day care. My mama heart is hurting, but I know it will all be alright once we get into our groove.
WORKING MOMS: any tips on how you managed to deal with the transition would be greatly appreciated!

NEEDING | A couple more hours in a day, but doesn't everyone? I seriously have no idea how some moms do it! Beautiful women who have perfectly dressed children and fun activities planned for them in their perfect looking houses and spotless kitchens where they make extravagant meals for their families all while working full time and still making time for their husbands, bubble baths, and face masks. Haha, but seriously, I'm lucky if my coffee is warm, me and my baby are dressed on the same day, the dishes are done, and we ate dinner. Who's with me?

PRACTICING | My sewing skills. I can sew a straight mostly straight line, but anything else you can pretty much forget it. I did get a new sewing machine for Christmas and I am finally testing it out and making a couple fun projects with it. So far, I am loving it and it is making me want to sew all the things!

PINNING | This triple melon salad from Family Circle which looks and sounds amazing! It is definitely a must-try this Spring or Summer. Michigan has had a little glimpse into what warmer weather feels like, but I am ready for the real thing!

CURRENTLY: March Edition

Well friends, I sure bet you're surprised to see me! I've finally made it out of hibernation and decided to join in for the CURRENTLY link up hosted by Anne from In Residence.

WATCHING | Sooo many things. I'm currently on maternity after having my sweet baby boy and I'm watching all the things. Lipstick Jungle, Person of Interest and Schitt's Creek on Netflix, as well as all my regular weekly favorites. My newest love interest is Big Little Lies. I read the book last winter and was beyond excited to hear it was turned into a TV show. Needless to say, I have not been disappointed with the first two episodes.

EATING | I've been trying to eat healthier lately, but I am obsessed with these dark chocolate covered sea salt caramels from Aldi. Yes, they really are as good as they sound and I just can't quit them.

SAYING | How quickly my maternity leave is flying by. I've had six weeks off already, and six weeks more to go. To say that I am absolutely not ready to go back would be an understatement.

WEARING | Yoga pants or leggings every single day... the life of a new mom! My best friend sent me my first pair of LuLaRoe leggings and they are pretty amazing.

POSTING | My first blog post in a long while, and hoping there is more to come in the near future.

CURRENTLY: September Edition

While welcoming the month of September (one of my favorites!) , I am joining In Residence for her monthly CURRENTLY link up.

READING | Smoke by Catherine McKenzie. She is one of my favorite authors and this book has been on my reading list since it came out. Luckily, my sweet sister gave it to me as a birthday gift.

TRYING | To contain my excitement for decorating Baby M's nursery for at least a little bit longer. I have so many ideas in my head and I want to just jump on it and have all my ideas come to life. However, I am reminding myself that it's still early and I really want to take my time to create the perfect space.

HOPING | For some cooler fall weather! It is September, but temperatures in Michigan today ate still hanging out in the 90's today. I am so ready for sweater weather, warm beverages, and curling up with a blanket to watch football.

DECORATING | For FALL! While I spend most of my time searching for nursery inspiration, I am most definitely tackling the fall home decor this weekend.

TO-DO LISTING | I currently have a "Before Baby To-Do's" List. This list includes many baby projects, as well as painting the guest room, painting our trim white throughout the house, and possibly getting new carpet. And as we get farther along, the list just keeps on getting longer.

WE'RE HAVING A....

BABY!!

We are beyond excited to announce Baby M is expected to arrive January 2017!

I hope this helps to explain my prolonged absence, my first trimester was spent sleeping my evening away. Now that I am well into my second trimester, I am feeling MUCH better and am hoping to pick back up where this little blog of mine left off.

Master Bathroom Reveal

After a couple months of keeping it a secret, I am finally sharing our Master Bathroom Reveal! This winter, we decided to tackle another room in our home... the master bathroom. Anticipating that this would simply mean a fresh coat of paint and some new decor, we should have known that like any project, it would turn into so much more than that.

Our painting project quickly turned into staining the cabinets, getting a new mirror, putting in all new hardware, changing out the light fixtures, building shelves, and installing a new toilet. YIKES!

We love the way it all came together, and happily traded in all the purple for some pretty blues. My favorite part? Those shelves! I love them just as much as the ones in my living room :)

Happy Friday Eve!

Friday Five

One- Two Months.
It has been exactly two months since I have even thought about this blog. I am not going to lie, it felt nice to take an unplanned break from it all, but I am really starting to miss it. The good news? I'M BACK! I have a few projects up my sleeve that I've been working on and I am planning to return to this little space of mine to share them with you! Take my word for it... I'm here to stay (at least for a little while anyway)

Two- First Camping Trip.
Memorial Day Weekend, we went on our first camping trip of the season in our new pop-up camper! The weather was beautiful, and so was sleeping in a real bed on a thin mattress covering a wood board. One of my newest projects has been redecorating the pop-up. Here is a sneak peak of the progress so far, but trust me it's no where near finished ;)

Three- Weddings Galore.
We have THREE weddings in the month of June... yes, three! Last weekend was the first wedding of the season, our good friends got married on the west side of the state at Lewis Farm Market, and it was absolutely beautiful! Two more to go!

Four- Relaxing Weekend.
This is our one free weekend in June, and I am so incredibly excited to be staying home! The weather is supposed to be beautiful and I am hoping for a boating trip, but let's face it... I am perfectly content laying in my hammock all weekend long. Confession: I got all my flowers planted a few weeks ago, but I still have garden decorations that have yet to leave my basement and enter the great outdoors.

Five- Pay Day.
Today is PAY DAY! Anyone else get really excited for pay day only to have every penny disappear the second you pay all your bills? Yup, that's me!

What have you been up to? I feel like I need to play major catch up with all my favorite bloggers!
