Make Your Own Decorative Flower Vase

When I saw these beautiful flowers at our local farm market, I couldn't wait to get them home and put them into a fun vase! I immediately remembered the DIY candle holder I made for Valentine's Day, and decided that it would look just as neat with flowers instead of a candle.

I ran to the basement when we got home, ignoring all the groceries that need to be unloaded, and found my box of vases. I'm sure my husband was annoyed, but he didn't let me know it.

In order to do this, you will need:
One large vase, one small vase, and wine corks (or another type of filler)

1) gather supplies 2) set the small vase in the center of the larger vase
3) put wine corks or other vase filler into the space between the walls of the two vases
4) put water and flowers into the smaller, center vase

Yes, it really is as simple as it sounds! I don't know about you, but I can't wait to fill this with fun things all year long!

What are some other fun fillers we could use?

split peas, chalky hearts, wine corks, noodles...

  1. Love this idea -- especially the fact that you can change out the filling year round!
