Second Bridal Shower

Yes, I am a little lot behind, but I once again apologize! Moving, working, planning a wedding, and going back to school makes for a very busy Melanie with no free time to blog :(

Although I am so behind on the times, I still wanted to post some pictures of our second bridal shower. Adam's mom planned a beautiful day for us at Club Venetian in Madison Heights. The tradition in their family is that the groomsmen, fathers, and grandfathers also attend the shower. The entire wedding party was there (minus one) which was awesome, not only because we got to see everyone, but also because yours truly had no heavy lifting to do. The boys placed the gifts on the table in front of us so we could open them and then once opened, they moved them out of the way. They even loaded the car for us, which I was extremely grateful for (Adam got out of this during the first shower because he just haaad to play 18 holes of golf, which took longer than expected). Our adorable flower girl also assisted with opening the gifts.

I am still so overwhelmed with all the wonderful gifts we have been given. I have a brand new house full of brand new things and I feel like I don't deserve any of it. I am extremely grateful for all our wonderful friends and family!

Heart Banner

I would like to start this post with an apology. I am sorry it has been FOREVER since my last post! I have been extremely busy with the wedding a month away and moving in a week. But I'll make you a deal... I will try really hard to start posting more often, even through the chaos of the next month or so -IF- you all start showing the love. According to my pageviews, people actually do read this! A girl could use a few comments once in a while!

I will get back on track starting with this heart banner. My mom made it for my bridal shower to add a little something extra, and I love the way it turned out! You see, my mom isn't really the craftiest person in the world, but she really got into it for the shower (she made the invitations herself) and I was so proud of her crafting abilities! Go Mom!!

Didn't she do a great job?! Looks like I got my crafting genes from someone after all!

The First of Three Bridal Showers

I would like to start by apologizing for my lack of posts as of late. I ended up getting sick last week, and school has decided to take every ounce of free time I have. Only two more weeks until freedom and full force wedding planning begins! And it's a good thing because we have so many thank you's to write and invitations to address!

Anyways, back to the topic for today... I had my first Bridal Shower on Saturday and it was fabulous! The shower was put on by my mom and sister, and they couldn't have done a better job. It was located at Crumb's Gourmet Cookie Cafe, the food was amazing, and so was the company :) They did a great job decorating and making everything look cute. Unfortunately, the camera wasn't cooperating and the flash didn't go off for most of the pictures, so the quality may not be the best, but I still have to post some because I loved it so much.

Two fabulous bridesmaids!

This is the prize table. Didn't they do a great job making everything match?!

Food!

About to start opening the gifts!

We got so many wonderful gifts and I am so excited to move into our new house to put some of those things to good use! We will be have to throw a house warming party so we can use our serving platters, wine glasses, and a signature drink with our new beverage dispenser!

Thank you to all that were able to attend, and for those that weren't able to, you were missed! I had such a blast and I can't wait for our next one this Saturday!
