The Wedding Day: Reception

The reception was so much fun! While our guests were enjoying cocktails and hor d'oeuvres, we were able to sneak in the back door and see the ballroom before anyone else. I spent a great amount of time walking around to all the tables and looked at how perfectly everything had turned out. All of our hard work had paid off, that's for sure.

Once we were safely tucked away in our bridal suite, guests poured into the room and found their seats. We made our grand entrance down the staircase and immediately cut our cake and had our first dance. The toasts before dinner from our best man and maid of honor were seriously the best. Yes, I know, everyone would think that of their own wedding, but seriously... they both did a great job complimenting me, and embarrassing Adam.

After dinner, we did all the traditional stuff: bouquet and garter toss, father-daughter dance, mother-son dance, bridal party dance, etc. Then, it was time to party. Everybody was out on that dance floor, I swear. The first wedding decision we made when we got engaged was to book a band, CEYX. They are so much fun, and play songs that you will know, no matter what your age. Everyone has their thing that they really blow the budget on, and the band was ours. Needless to say, it was well worth it!
